CRJは現在札幌、福岡、東京、関西を含む全国4ヶ所を拠点に活動するカレッジチャートであり、学生中心で進められる音楽の情報発信は、他の音楽チャートとは違った視点から見た選曲であるのが特徴だ。また、各地のランキングの特色が顕著に現れるのも一つの魅力である。
今年の4月には、CRJ関西支部が発足。今後、活動拠点の拡大も検討中である。

【Naive Super】
Naive Superは、アーバンシンセポップバンド『Pictured Resort』のメンバーとして活躍する『Yushi Ibuki』のソロ・プロジェクト。自らの楽曲をセルフリミックスした『Music Is Your Only Squire (Enjoy Yourself Version)』を先月リリースし、7月16日付チャートにて3位を獲得するなど、札幌チャートで上位にランクインし続けている。ゲスト・ボーカルにLuby Sparksの元ボーカル・Emilyを迎えた爽やかな原曲を、まるでレコードの回転数を落としたようにアレンジしたこのバージョン。きらびやかな浮遊感がこの季節によくマッチする仕上がりになっている。

2016年に福岡で結成されたスリーピースバンド『よあけ』。
現在は東京でvox/gt 中原勇作がサポートメンバーを迎えながら活動中。
ギター、ベース、ドラムのシンプルな構成で隙間と歌心を活かした幅広い楽曲が特徴である。
CRJA FUKUOKAチャートでも2週連続1位であった『ゾンビ』は、今の世界的状況下で、いっそ「ええいままよ！」とすべてを投げ出したいこともあるが、自分にはそんなことは出来ないとわかっていること、そんな自分がつくづく嫌になるような感情の起伏や、頭でっかちな考え込みはいつだって起こることで、そんな想いを込めた普遍の歌だという。
そんな『ゾンビ』を聴いている時だけは心躍り、今の時代の私たちに寄り添ってくれる。
私たちの代わりに吐き出し、叫んでくれている応援歌なのではとも感じる。

【NOISEMAKER】
今週のピックアップは札幌発のロックバンド、NOISEMAKER(ノイズメーカー)。
Vo.AG(エイジ)とGt.HIDE(ヒデ)の兄弟によって結成され、2009年の1stアルバム以降、着実に力をつけてきている今注目のロックバンドだ。
ROCK×ARTを掲げて、アートワークやサウンドメイクなどを自ら手がけている。
今週チャートインした楽曲｢Better Days｣は7月1日にリリースされたミニアルバム｢H.U.E.｣の収録曲。
誰もが歯を食いしばっている今、私たちの向かう“先”を問うナンバー。
MVでは、タイトルの“better days”の解釈が“もっとマシな日々”から“この日々は良くなっていく”に移り変わっていく、そんなメッセージ性のある和訳にも注目だ。
また、MVのラストシーンはアルバムアートワークと連携している。

【Navie Super】
“Navie Super” is a solo project of “Yushi Ibuki” who are the member of “Pictured Resort”, the urban synthesizer pop band.
His new self-remixed song “Music Is Only Squire(Enjoy Yourself Version)” released last month got the third place in the Sapporo chart on July 16th and now keep ranking in the top 10.
He remixed his original pleasant song that featured with “Emily” who were the vocal of “Ludy Sparks” into a chilling and floating one that perfectly matches to the summer season by slowing its own tempo.

【Yoake】
The three-piece band “Yoake” was formed in Fukuoka in 2016.
The band is currently active in Tokyo with vox/gt Yusaku Nakahara as a support member.
With a simple composition of guitar, bass, and drums, the band is characterized by a wide range of songs that utilize the gaps in their sound and the spirit of singing.
Zombie” was No. 1 on the CRJA FUKUOKA chart for two weeks in a row. Or better yet, “Oh, yeah! And sometimes I want to throw it all away, but I know I can’t do that, that I can’t do that. The ups and downs of emotions and heady thoughts that make me feel so bad about myself are always going to happen The song is said to be a universal song with this in mind.
When I listen to “Zombie”, my heart beats with excitement and it accompanies us in this day and age.
I feel like it’s a cheering song, letting it out and shouting at us instead of us.
All of her songs, including her previous works, are now available on subscription/download sites.
In addition, on her official YouTube channel, she has been uploading demos for 10 weeks in a row through her “SSMV (Super Self-Made Video)” project and “#yoake8bits”, a chiptune arrangement of her own songs.

【NOISEMAKER】
This week’s pickup is “NOISEMAKER ,a rock band from Sapporo.
It was formed by AG(Vo) and HIDE(Gt).
After they released their 1st album in 2009, they have been steadily improving their skill.
As described Rock x ART, they does artwork and sound make by themselves.
This week’s charted song “Better Days” is a song from the mini album “H.U.E.” released on July 1.
It’s a song asking us about our future which we will face at now that everyone is clenching their teeth.
In the music video, the interpretation of the title “better days” changes from “We need more better days“ to “These days become more better”.
In addition to that, the last scene of the music video is linked to the album artwork.
Through the film which is attached to the album, you can watch different story.
This gimmick was born from playfulness who adopt art to their music.
What kind of future will you imagine for a song that gives energy to the weary world?
