ー今どのような活動をされていますか？
中心を補っているブランドのBESODESAPOだけでなく、今進行中の他のプロジェクトのデザイナーもしています。同時に、MUSICTERAPHYを専攻するミュージシャンでもあり、障害者のための施設での音楽講師も務めています。
ー普段の生活ではどんなことをしていますか？
僕の日常はとてもおもしろいよ。僕はスケジュールとか時間表に左右されないんだ。それに一度に１０００個くらいのことをするんだよ。
朝遅くまで寝て、お昼の日向ぼっこを楽しんで、友達と会ったり、みんなで夜ご飯や美味しいものを食べたりしているよ。
何時間もコンピューターデザインをして過ごしている間に、いつもクレイジーな気持ちにしてくれる新しい音楽を見つけるんだ。
ー好きな動物はなんですか？
魚。僕は海の下で生活出来る才能が欲しかったからね。
ー子供の頃のいい思い出は？
昼寝さ。いつも兄弟たちが家の中にシーツでテントを作ってよく何時間も遊んでいたんだ。夏に行った川の近くにあるおじさんの家も忘れられないね。
ーWoolyとの出会いは？Woolyについてどういう印象を受けましたか？
２０１２年にゲストとして誘われたLOOMS TOKYOで出会ったんだよね。一度会って友達になってから、全てが素晴らしくて完璧だった！クリエイティヴと素晴らしい人たちがWoolyを作っていると思う。それにみんなはとてもフレンドリーで社交的で、王様みたいな気分にしてくれて永遠に感謝し続けるよ。（笑）
ーあなたの夢と野心は？
野心はないけど夢はあるよ。そのひとつは、まずは自分がすごく幸せになって、そして誰かが幸せになるように助ける事が出来たら、僕の夢は達成されるんだ。
ー日本には何回きた事がありますか？
１度しか行った事がないけれど、日本に着いたらもう日本に惚れちゃったよ！日本が大好きなんだ！
ー日本の好きなところは？
日本人の性格かな。（例えば、民族性、哲学、街や地域、公園、食べ物、全部！！）
ー夢を追う人たちへメッセージを
心の中で信じることをやめないで。
人間が持つ事の出来る最大の宝物は、自分らしくいることで、それはかけがえのないことで不滅の遺産なんだよ。自分の出来る要領と自分の才能に気づいたとき、物事がそうあるべき姿として自然と道が開くんだ。
僕たちは人生を楽しんで、遊ぶことも決してやめなちゃいけない。なぜなら、人生は短いし、完全に幸せでいることだけが意味をなすからね。
その他の全て、素晴らしいこと、夢と大切にしている計画は自然にやってくるよ。
* What is your current status?
I am a full-time designer, not only as a leader brand BESOSDESAPO but with different emerging projects. Meanwhile, as a musician I majored in MUSICTERAPHY and I work as music teacher at a foundation for the handicap.
ーWhat is your daily life like?
My daily life is very funny because I try not to be subjected to schedules or timetables, and do a thousand things at the same time. I love waking up late in the morning, enjoying the sun at noon, hanging out with friends for dinner and eat something delicious or have “mates” during the week. While I spend hours on the computer designing, I always discover new music that drives me crazy!
ーFavorite animal and why?
The fish. Because I would have liked to have the gift of living underwater.
ーFavorite childhood memories?
The naptime. My brothers used to set up tents with sheets around the house and we would spend hours playing. Summers at my grandparents’ house by the river are also unforgettable.
ーYour dreams, and ambitions?
I have no ambitions but dreams. One of them is to be extremely happy and if within that happiness I can help others to reach it, my dreams would already be fulfilled.
ーHow many times have you been to Japan?
I have only been once in Japan and I fell in love with it as soon as I arrived! I love Japan!!
ーFavorite thing about Japan?
The human quality (its citizens, philosophy, cities and towns, parks, food…everything!!)
ーHow you met Wooly and your impression of us?
We met in the TOKYO ROOMS EXPO where I was invited as speaker in 2012. Once we met we became friends and everything was beautiful and perfect! A group of creative and brilliant people carries on this wonderful project. They were really friendly and outgoing, they made me feel “a king” and I will be eternally grateful.
ーA message from you to those who are chasing their dreams
Never stop believing in what’s inside. The greatest treasure a human being can have is to be yourself, that is an irreparable and indestructible legacy. When one is aware of his/her own capacities and qualities, roads open automatically so that things are as they should be. We should have fun and never stop playing because life is a second and it only makes sense if we are entirely happy. All the other beautiful things, dreams and projects we cherish flow naturally!
Martin Lapidus, el diseñador del BESO DE SAPO del argentino que presentamos la semana pasada, es un personaje en todo el mundo no sólo con su marca, pero sus actividades musicales como un músico. Él es una persona que propaga sonrisas por todo el mundo alrededor, tanto en su vida cotidiano y en el trabajo, y hoy hemos tenido el placer de entrevistarlo.
ー¿Cuál es su estado actual?
Soy diseñador a tiempo completo, no solamente como líder de la marca BESOSDESAPO sino con distintos proyectos que van surgiendo. A su vez, como músico me especialicé en MUSICOTERAPIA y trabajo como profesor de música en una fundación para chicos con discapacidades.
ー¿Cómo es su vida diaria?
Mi vida diaria es muy divertida porque intento no programarme mucho, y hago mil cosas al mismo tiempo. Me encanta levantarme tarde, disfrutar el sol de la siesta y en la mitad de la semana si o si juntarme con amigos a tomar mates o cenar y comer algo rico. Mientras paso horas en la computadora diseñando todo el tiempo descubro música nueva que me vuelve loco!
ーAnimal favorito y por qué
El pez. Porque me hubiese gustado tener el don de vivir bajo el agua.
ーRecuerdo favorito de la infancia
La hora de la siesta. Con mis hermanos armábamos carpas con telas y nos pasábamos horas jugando. También los veranos en casa de mis abuelos, en el río.
ーー¿Sus sueños y ambiciones?
No tengo ambiciones, si sueños. Uno de ellos es ser enormemente feliz y si dentro de esa felicidad puedo ayudar a que otros lo sean, mis sueños ya estarían cumplidos.
ー¿Cuántas veces has estado en Japón?
Solamente he estado 1 vez en Japón y morí del amor!!
¿Cosa favorita de Japón?
La calidad humana (la gente, la filosofía, las ciudades, los parques, la comidaaaaaa…todo)
ー¿Cómo conociste a Wooly y su impresión sobre nosotros?
Nos conocimos en la expo TOKYO ROOMS donde yo fui invitado como expositor en el año 2012. Una vez que nos conocimos nos hicimos amigos y todo fue hermoso y perfecto! Un grupo de gente creativa y genial que llevan adelante este proyecto maravilloso. Me hicieron sentir un rey y les estaré eternamente agradecido.
ーUn mensaje a todos los que están persiguiendo sus sueños.
Que nunca dejen de creer en lo que hay adentro. El tesoro más grande que puede tener un ser humano es poder ser uno mismo, eso es un legado irreparable e indestructible, cuando uno se conoce, automáticamente los caminos se abren para que las cosas sean como tienen que ser. Hay que divertirse y nunca dejar de jugar porque la vida es un segundo y solo tiene sentido si somos enteramente felices. El resto viene solo!

Martin Lapidus. He was born in 1980. Grew up surrounded by music and country life and followed the beautiful and magical path of music and art. Not only designing Martin is a songwriter. And, he has shared the music stage with many musicians from many countries.
