六本松蔦屋書店で開催中のフォトエキシビジョン『Vulnerable And Truthful-傷つきやすさ、本当のこと-』
本展示のキュレーター”Chingann”と、TAG STÅのオーナー”橋口靖弘氏”を迎えて、2月３にトークイベントの開催が決定！
We will have a talk session with Chingann, a curator of this exhibition and Yasuhiro Hashiguchi, an owner of coffee stand and gallery called TAG STA, on February 3rd.

現在、六本松蔦屋書店で行われているフォトエキシビジョン『Vulnerable And Truthful-傷つきやすさ、本当のこと-』。
参加しているのは、ロンドンから”Chloe Sheppard”、”Naomi Wong”、パリから”Fabien Vilru”。VOGUE、I-D、NYLONなどのファッション誌やブランドのルックブックを手がけ、世界を舞台に幅広く活躍する、いま注目のフォトグラファー３名によるグループ展だ。

日常の中にある、女性たちの感情の本質が覗く瞬間。そこからみえるものは何だろう。
ぜひ、直接作品に触れ感じてもらいたい。

そしてこの展示を記念し、レセプションパーティの開催も決定。
台湾より、今回の展示のキュレーター”Chingann”、福岡のコーヒースタンド兼、ギャラリーTAG STÅのオーナーでもあり、台湾にて初キュレーションを成功させたばかりの”橋口靖弘氏”を迎え、トークイベントも行われる。

トークイベントに先駆け、今回展示に参加した３名のフォトグラファーについてChingannから届いたメッセージをいち早くお届け！

「女の子たちのそれぞれ異なった視点を見せれたら最高だと思い、私は3人のフォトグラファーを長い間追いかけています。

私はChloeの作品が1番好きです。少し前に彼女はロンドンで、”I never promised you a rose garden”という展示会を開いたのですが、その世界観がすごく気に入りました。彼女の作品はいつも夢のように幻想的で、その中にも少しもの悲しさが感じられます。

Naomiについては、彼女のことは前回の仕事から知り、2,3回一緒に仕事をしたことがあります。彼女はとても若く、この3人の中ではまだ経験が浅いですが、彼女なりのスタイルを確立し始めているので、彼女の作品が世間の目に触れる機会がほしいと思います。

そして、Fabian。正直に言うと、私はただただ彼が大好きなんです！彼の作品はいつもとにかくミステリアスだし、彼が撮る女の子がすごく好きです。

ぜひ、沢山の方に作品を見ていただきたいと思います！

・Fabien Vilrus(Paris)
イギリスを拠点に活動するフランス人の写真家。写真は独学で学ぶ。広告業界で働いたのち、写真に没頭することに目覚め、35mmのみで撮影を行う。彼は、主体と逃避する感覚を持ち合わせた周囲との間にある関係を探求し、色彩豊かなポートレートをとらえる。
i-D, DAZED, NYLON などの雑誌で活躍。

・CHLOE SHEPPARD(London)
独学で35mmフィルムカメラで撮った写真をインスタグラムに載せたところ、2015年から数々のオファーを受けキャリアをスタートさせる。彼女の写真は不安定で、不器用で、魅力的なティーンガールズを写し出す。Dazed and Confusedで2016年注目の女性写真家として取り上げられ、以後オファーが殺到している。

・Naomi Wong(London)
中国系イギリス人の写真家。Kingston School of Artの映画製作コース卒業後、フィルムカメラのみを使用し活動している。尊敬する映画監督Wong Kar-waiの作品のような雰囲気を再現するため、35mmのフィルムカメラに特化するナオミ。ファーストキスで始まり就職に終わる若者のゴールデンエイジを主題に、架空の世界を創り出す。構成画像でありながらドキュメンタリー調の彼女の写真は、観る者に思慕とノスタルジアを感じさせる。

The photo exhibition “Vulnerable and Truthful” is now held at TSUTAYA BOOKS Ropponmastu. We will have a talk session with Chingann, a curator of this exhibition and Yasuhiro Hashiguchi, an owner of coffee stand and gallery called TAG STA, on February 3rd.

The participated artists of this group exhibition are two Londoners Chloe Sheppard and Naomi Wong and a French Fabien Vilrus. Each of them has succeeded in a wide range of fields all over the world, working with some fashion magazines such as VOGUE, i-D and NYLON, or for a Lookbook of fashion brands.

What would we see at
moment when girls can express their real emotions in their daily lives? You will find an answer at the exhibition.

We will have a reception party celebrating this exhibition, with the talk session with Chingann, the curator of this exhibition from Taiwan and Yasuhiro Hashiguchi, the owner of coffee stand and gallery called TAG STA who recently curated an exhibition in Taipei.

Before this talk session, here is a comment from Chingann about these three photographers joining the exhibition.

“I’ve been following these photographers for a long time because I thought it’d be great to show different perspectives from girl’s cameras.

I guess I love Chloe’s work the most. She held a show called “I never promised you a rose garden” a while ago in London, and I really love the concept. Her work is always so dreamy but with a little sadness inside.

For Naomi, I’ve known her from my last job, and worked with her a couple of times. She is such young and has less experiences compared to the other two, but also started to develop her own style that I want to have an opportunity to show everyone.

And for Fabien, to be honest, I’m just a big fan of him! His work is always very mysterious, and I love the way he captures girls.

I hope many people visit the exhibition and see their wonderful works!”
