東京都西麻布にあるCALM & PUNK GALLERYにて６月１０日金曜日から６月２６日日曜日までペインターLyの個展「FAR FROM HOME」が開催中。

幼少時代から止まることなく感情、怒り、悲しみをモンスターとして描き続けてきたLy氏。無我夢中のあまりいつの間にか彼女自身で描き出した絵が社会性を持ち始め、生み出してきたモンスターたちが離れてしまっているということに気がつき崩壊活動に入る。そんな幾度の崩壊と成長を経験した彼女は自分に問いかけた「ここから先は何が描けるだろう」「FAR FROM HOME」、それは彼女が自身を振り返る展示会となっている。ギャラリー内でひときわ目立つのが４メートルに及ぶ立対策品「LUV（ルーヴ）」。これは展示会の終わりに向けてPAINTING中であるが、最終日を含めた25と26日13:00〜19:00の間に解体されるのだとか。

彼女がこれから壊しにかかる空間を是非堪能してみてはいかがだろうか。

東京生まれ。ペインター。白と黒と、グレーで只管、小さい頃から脳につくってきた世界, モンスターを描く。主に制作の根源は「SHIT,HATE」。東京を中心に、パリ、バンコク、ロサンゼルスなど国内外でミューラルを中心に活動中。

Since early childhood, Ly have constantly been drawing monsters based on her emotions such as anger and sadness.
However, later on realizes that the painting she created started to have sociality and regardless of being the creator of the monsters, they seemed to have slipped through her hands, due to her mindlessness, bringing her into the subversive activity. Experiencing the repeated disruption and personal growth, she now asks herself “What can I draw beyond this point?”. “FAR FROM HOME”, it will be an exhibition where she looks back at herself. The 4-meter height 3D artwork which is still in progress of being painted, “LUV” is stands out in the gallery. It will be pulled down on 25th and 26th from 13:00~19:00, where they will have a show.

Born in Tokyo and bases herself in Tokyo, but she is also active outside of Japan in Paris, Bangkok and LA. Her paints uses colors of black, white and grey to portray the imaginary world and monsters she had since childhood.
