今回は、東京都写真美術館の2Fで開催中の「無垢と経験の写真 日本の新進作家 vol.14」展に足を運んだ。そこで私が注目したのは吉野英理香、1970年埼玉県本庄市生まれ、1994年東京綜合写真専門学校を卒業。彼女はこれまで東京をはじめ、アメリカ、サンフランシスコ、ローマ、ドイツ、ロサンゼルス、ハンブルクと活動の幅を広げてきた。彼女がカメラを向けるのは日々のなかにある。レンズを通して美しい光が見えてくる。作品一つから人生のふとした瞬間の感情が見えてくる。どこか自分と共感できるような感情だ。まるで自分がだれか違う人の人生を体験しているような気持ちになる。彼女が今後どのような日常の瞬間を写してくれるかが楽しみだ。

窓の向こうの世界と窓の中の世界が反射しあって、いつの日かの思い出をのぞきこんでいる気持ちになる。窓を見ながら昔と別れを交わす気分だ。窓を通して二つの世界が一つになって魅惑的だ。

This time we visited the “Photographs of Innocence and of Experience” held on the second floor of Tokyo Photographic Art Museum. There the artist we especially focused on was Erika Yoshino, who was born in Saitama in 1970 and graduated Tokyo College of Photography in 1994.
She has been expanding her activities as a photographer in San Francisco, LA, Rome, and Hamburg. What she captures is always in the daily life. In every photo, we see the momentum emotion, the feeling that we can somehow sympathize. It is as if we are living the life of someone else. We are looking forward to seeing other daily moments she will capture.
