CRJは現在札幌、福岡、東京、関西を含む全国4ヶ所を拠点に活動するカレッジチャートであり、学生中心で進められる音楽の情報発信は、他の音楽チャートとは違った視点から見た選曲であるのが特徴だ。また、各地のランキングの特色が顕著に現れるのも一つの魅力である。
今年の4月には、CRJ関西支部が発足。今後、活動拠点の拡大も検討中である。

☆二回目のピックアップ
2017年5月、京都にて結成され、3ヶ月後の8月にはサマーソニック、そしてRISING SUN ROCK FESTIVALに出演し話題に。2018年には、札幌市で行われたサーキットイベントNo Maps『ROCK DIVERSITY』内、CRJ-SAPPOROプロデュースのステージへ出演した。
今回、7月22日にリリースしたセカンドフルアルバム『ROMANTIC LOVE』より、『Showが始まる』が8月27日付カレッジチャートにて3位にランクイン。渋谷系の要素を取り入れ、軽やかに仕上げられたこの曲からは、彼らの新たな魅力を存分に感じることができる。

2019年に結成された名古屋の年の差ニュー感覚男女ユニット『sucola（スコラ）』。
少しハスキーな声と軽快なビートが耳に残るキャッチーなメロディーが重なり、sucolaならではの世界観を作り出している。
CRJA FUKUOKAカレッジチャートにもチャートインしている『FLYDAY』は、スキップでもしながら少し早めに帰ることができる気さえする、人々が浮き足立つ金曜の夜を感じられる楽曲だ。

今週のピックアップはヒトリエ。
2011年にボカロPとして人気を博していたwowakaを中心に結成されたロックバンドだ。
2019年にVo.のwowakaが急逝。ヴォーカリストを失うというバンドとしては致命傷と思われたが、Gt.シノダがヴォーカルを引き継ぎ、スリーピースバンドとして現在も活動を続けている。
今回関西チャートで4位にランクインした｢センスレス・ワンダー｣を含む計27曲を収録した初のベストアルバム｢4｣では、wowakaを含む4人の軌跡がまとめられている。
ボカロPとしての経歴から複雑で独特な世界観をもつwowakaの楽曲を、4人がどのようにしてバンドとして昇華させてきたのか。3人で新たなスタートを切るヒトリエの、“ここまで”と“これから”をぜひ追いかけていただきたい。

【浪漫革命】
“Romankakumei”(romantic revolution) was formed in Kyoto in May 2017 and drew attention immediately by appearing on the “RUSING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL” just after three months from their formation. Also, they played on the circuit event called the “No Maps ROCK DIVERSITY” that partly produced by the CRJ-SAPPRO. Their new song, “Show is about to start” from their second full album called “ROMANTIC LOVE” released on 22th July has got the third place in Sapporo chart on 27th August. You will find their new side from this song because they made it airily by taking the Shibuya-style in it.

“Sucola” is a male and female unit from Nagoya that was formed in 2019.
A slightly husky voice and a light beat overlap with catchy melodies that leave a lasting impression on the ears, creating a world that is unique to “sucola”.
“FLYDAY”, which has been charting on the CRJA FUKUOKA college charts, is a song that evokes the upbeat Friday nights of people who feel like they can skip it and go home a little early.
On August 21, she released her new single “Daybreak,” which features a striking backdrop of sunflowers.

This is a musical project by guitarist-composer Mizuki Masuda of the rock band “Negoto”, which disbanded in July 2019.
This is her first album, “utopia”. Utopia” is a mellow dance number about her school days when she struggled as much as she could.
It’s a song that spices up the song with a little bit of sadness while reminding us of the happiness we didn’t realize we had in the past.

This week’s pick is Hitorie.
It is a rock band which was formed in 2011 by wowaka, who was a popular vocaloid producer.
In 2019, Vo. wowaka passed away suddenly. Losing a vocalist was considered a fatal blow to the band, but Gt. Shinoda took over the vocal duties and the band is still active as a three-piece band.
Their first best album ‘4’, which contains 27 tracks including ‘Senseless Wonder’, which ranked 4th in the Kansai Charts, summarizes the trajectory of the four members, including wowaka.
How wowaka’s music, which has a complex and unique view of the world due to his background as a vocaloid producer, is transformed into a band sound by four?
Please keep your eye on their future and past who have made a new start as a trio.
