CRJは現在札幌、福岡、東京、関西を含む全国4ヶ所を拠点に活動するカレッジチャートであり、学生中心で進められる音楽の情報発信は、他の音楽チャートとは違った視点から見た選曲であるのが特徴だ。また、各地のランキングの特色が顕著に現れるのも一つの魅力である。
今年の4月には、CRJ関西支部が発足。今後、活動拠点の拡大も検討中である。

東京を拠点に活動する“オルタナティヴ・シティ・サイケバンド”、Group2。5月13日にデジタルリリースされたシングル『Wonder』が、6月18日付札幌チャートで9位にランクインした。バンドの持ち味であるポップさと奇妙さはそのままに、独特のギターリフと簡単には噛み砕けないラップ、歌詞が耳に残って離れない一曲になっている。この曲のチャート内での動向はもちろん、クリエイティビティ溢れる活動を展開する彼らの今後からも目が離せない。

宮崎出身大分在住の21歳大学生シンガーソングライター『mei』。6月1日に自身初のミニアルバム『バニラコテージ』をリリース。堂村璃羽やRin音などのトラックを手掛けるHenriiとタッグを組み、全曲Henriiプロデュースのトラックのもとで制作された。
瞬間の閃きや想いを音楽にしているという彼は、今作のミニアルバムで、閃きの部分を「バニラ」ロジカルな部分を「コテージ」と比喩して表現しているという。”新たなmei”の魅力が存分に詰め込まれ、誰もが音楽に溶け込みやすいようなミニアルバムにもなっている。今回、CRJA FUKUOKAでもチャートインしている『825』は自分自身が生きていく中で、良くも悪くも成長した今の想いを書いており、切なく苦しくなるが、その中にどこか心地よさがあり寄り添ってくれる楽曲だ。
同じく『バニラコテージ』に収録されている『クリームソーダとシャンデリア』にはねんねが客演で参加し、TikTokでも多くの人に取り上げられている楽曲である。この夏、絶対にみんなが聴いているサマーチューンになるだろう。

CRJ東京のチャートにランクインした「Cats & Dogs」は、カネコアヤノをフューチャリングに迎えた一曲。
日陰から見る日差しのようなKID FRESIONのラップと、陽射しを全面に受けながら歌う開放的なカネコアヤノのボーカルが混ざり合う様がとても美しい。
ジャケット写真は俳優の仲野大賀。今年閉園するとしまえんを貸し切って撮影された。

Megumi Takahashi(Vo.&Key)、Yuki Sugama(Gt.）、Koji Yasuda(Ba.)、Kohei Takashima(Dr.)の4人で構成されており、
残念ながら中止になってしまったJAPAN JAM 2020の出場オーディション｢GO TO JAPAN JAM 2020｣では優秀賞を獲得した実力のあるバンドだ。
今回チャートインしている｢泡になる｣は今年4月末にリリースされたEP｢yawn｣の2曲目に収録されている。
女性ボーカルには珍しい少しざらついた低音から伸びやかな中高音が魅力の一つ。
そしてなんといっても一つ一つのパートが個々の味を出しているにも関わらず、ぶつかることなく綺麗に織り交ぜたサウンドにぜひ耳を傾けていただきたい。

“Alternative・City・Psycheband” based in Tokyo, Group2. Their song “Wonder”, that was just released on May 13th, ranked in 9th in Sapporo Chart as of June 18th.
What is so unique about the band— their pop and kirky music remains in this song. And their characteristic guitar riffs and the rap that can not easily be broken down, rings in your ears.

“Mei”, a singer-songwriter/university student from Miyazaki, who is currently based in Oita. He just released his first mini album “Vanilla Cottage” on June 1st. In this album he collaborated with Henrii, who makes beats for other artists like Riu Domura and Rinne. The beats of all the songs in the album were produced by Henrii.
Having put his sparks and momentary thought into his music, in this mini album he describes his sparks as vanilla, and his logic as cottage.
The attraction of “The New mei” is all put into this album, and it is just easy for anyone to immerse themselves in his music. “825”, which ranked in the new CRJA FUKUOKA is a song about how he feels now after all those years of growing up for better or for worse. The song makes you feel bitter and painful, but somehow gives you comfort and consideration for your feelings.
Also, “Cream Soda(A float) and Chandelier” from “Vanilla Cottage” was co-produced by Nenne. The song has been booming in Tiktok. It is definitely going to be the summer tune that everybody will listen to.

Born in 1993, KID FRESINO is a 26 year old rapper/beatmaker/DJ from Saitama.
“Cats & Dogs”, which ranked in CRJ Tokyo chart is a song in which he features with Kaneko Ayano.
KID FRESION’s rap— the sunlight you see from the shade would sound this way, and fully emerged in the sunlight, Kaneko Ayano’s voice full of freedom make such a beautiful combination.
Their CD jacket is a picture of an actor Taiga Nakano. They filmed their music video in Toshimaen, which is closing this year. The song makes you wanna cherish all those short days that feel long.

This week’s pick up artist is “tiny yawn” has been active mainly in Tokyo since 2017.
This band consists of four members: Megumi Takahashi(Vo.&Key), Yuki Sugama(Gt.), Koji Yasuda(Ba.), Kohei Takashima(Dr.)
Their ability has been recognized and they won an excellent prize in “GO TO JAPAN JAM 2020” which is an audition for “JAPAN JAM 2020” which has unfortunately cancelled due to Coronavirus.
The song “awa ni naru” is second song of their EP “yawn” which was released end of this April.
Megumi’s voice is one of the charms of the band, with a slightly rough-textured bass, which is rare for female vocals, and a medium high tone.
And above all, I want you to listen to the harmonious and beautifully interwoven sound while each member showing their individuality.
