大竹彩子は、ロンドン芸術大学を卒業し2016年に帰国、愛媛と東京を拠点に活動。
本展は、ドローイング作品と写真作品を同時に発表する国内初の展覧会。30点以上の新作を展示・販売するほか、ZINEなどの関連グッズも販売している。写真作品による『NIPPON』『SOMEWHERE』『SWI-SS』などフルカラーのZINEシリーズは、パリ滞在時のシーンを盛り込んだ 新刊『PAPAPARIS』を含む全10点がそろう。
大胆でサイケな色使いによって描かれたドローイング作品は、彼女のアンテナに反応して発見された宇宙の断片たち。
感情を見せない宇宙人のような女たちが、見る人を異次元へと誘うかのようだ。
一方の写真作品たちは、どこかで見たことのある無機質なものたちが彼女によって切り取られ、背中がぞくぞくするような一瞬を伝えている。
ビビットな色合いの作品も、重厚感のあるモノクロ作品も、不可思議ながら地球と繋がっている宇宙という現実の世界を描き出している。
7 月20 日（土）にはDIESEL ART GALLERY にて、15:00より大竹彩子によるライブ ペインティングを、16:30よりミュージシャンの大橋トリオ氏をゲストに迎え、アーティストトークイベントを開催予定。
ロンドンでアートを学んだ彼女が作り出すSFワールドを目の当たりにしよう。

1988年生まれ。2016年、ロンドン芸術大学セントラル・セント・マーチンズ・カレッジ・オブ・ アート・アンド・デザイン卒業（グラフィック・デザイン専攻）。複眼的なパースペクティブから成る独自の作品世界を、ドローイング、ペインティング、写真、コラージュなど、様々な技法で表現している。

Saiko Otake is a graduate from the University of the Arts London and came back to Japan in 2016, and now based in Ehime and Tokyo.
This exhibition features drawings and photography at the same time for the first time in Japan. There’re more than 30 works to show and sell, as well as zines and other related items. The 10-photo zine series including “NIPPON”, “SOMEWHERE”, and “SWI-SS”, also includes “PAPAPARIS” which shows the scenery in Paris when she stayed there.
Her vivid and psychedelic drawings are the collection of fragments she found in the space.
Women -or aliens- who don’t show their emotions invite audiences to the different dimension.
On the other hand, in the photography works, she captures inorganic things we might have seen somewhere in her own way and tells a moment that makes us thrilled.
Both vivid and black-and-white works are somehow strange but show the reality world of space, which is connected to the earth.
On July 20th, Saturday, there will be a live painting by Otake from 3pm, and a talk show with Ohashi Trio, a musician, from 4:30pm.
