“think I breath” by Kazuki Iwabuchi

写真家・岩渕一輝の個展「think I breath」がCLASSにて開催。Photographer Kazuki Iwabuchi’s solo exhibition “think I breath” at CLASS.

以前、インディペンデントマガジン『STUDY』やWoolyでも取り上げられた1995年生まれの写真家、岩渕一輝の2度目となる個展が、5/11より開催される。場所は、明治神宮の地下アートギャラリー『CLASS』。

昨年、自身の初となる個展『Slices of the moment』を開催し、日常の憂鬱やノスタルジーを感じさせるような作品を届けてくれた彼は、今回どんな風に魅せてくれるだろう？

「時間は永遠のように思えるけれど、
私たちに与えられた時間は限られていて
刻々と刻々と過ぎていくその時間の中で、
いつの間にか息をしていることを私は忘れてしまっていた。

鳥が飛び、日の当たっていた場所に影ができ、樹々は今日もそこにいる
ふと、何かに気づいた時、私は息をしていると思う。

そして、深々と息を吸う」

『think I breath』は、彼自身が東京で過ごす日々の中で感じた「社会に染まって、ただ生きるために生きている自分」を見つめ直し、日常の1つ1つの出来事に意識を向け、再び未来に希望を持って歩み出す、そんなメッセージが込められた写真展となっている。

GW明けは、彼の日常からこぼれ出す何気ないエモーショナルな瞬間に、気持ちを揺さぶられてみてはいかがだろうか？

Kazuki Iwabuchi is a photographer born in 1995 and featured on an indepent magazine “STUDY” and Wooly. He will have his 2nd solo exhibition from 11st May onwards. The place is “CLASS,” a basement art gallery in Meiji Jingu.

His works at the 1st solo exhibition “Slices of the moment” showed us daily depression and nostalgy. How will it be like this time?

“Time seems like forever,
but the time that we have is limited.
While it is passing moment by moment,
I forgot about that I was breathing when I noticed.

A bird flies, a shade is made in a sunny place, trees are there today as always.
When I notice something, at the same time I think “I am breathing”.

Then, I take a deep breath.”

The photo exhibition “think I breath” contains a message “reconsider “ your own self living to live infected with the society,” be conscious of each of daily events and start again with hopes toward the future.”

How about being inspired by the emotional moments slipped through his daily life after the Golden Week?
