後半もレジェンド、ジャイルスピータソンのDJ タイムからスタート。
彼の選曲には間違いがない。と感じる⼈は多いだろう。今回も幅広い選曲により会場を⼤いに盛り上げ、期待以上のものを提供してくれた。体が乗らずにはいられないほどアップテンポでハイセンスな⾳楽、会場の熱気そのまま最後のアーティストの演奏となった。
今回のとりを飾ったのは、若い層からの⽀持も厚いSOIL& “PIMP” SESSIONS。
彼らのスタイルは今までのジャズとはかけ離れており、ヒップポップの要素も⼊り交ぜ、確かな演奏⼒でホットでクールな雰囲気を漂わせる。時代と共に進化していく。この⾔葉が彼らには相応しいように感じた。彼らのジャズスタイルはまるで今後のクラブジャズ・ニュージャズ界の未来を見ているかのような気分にさせてくれた。
そして、そんな特別な⽇にふさわしいスペシャルゲスト、⽇野皓正の登場により、SOIL& “PIMP” SESSIONとの共演が実現した。⽇野皓正といえば、唯一無二のオリジナリティと芸術性の⾼さを誇り、⽇本の⾳楽シーンを⽀えてきた⽇本を代表するアーティスト奏者。彼のトランペットの⾳、⻑年第⼀線で活躍してきた彼にしか出せない魂のこもった⾳楽が会場を包んだ。
演奏の合間、ジャズギークな来場者たちに話を聞いた。
彼ら曰く、ジャズには⾃然と体が乗ってしまう⾯⽩さがある。それは彼らの⾳楽が⾃由で、そしてなによりも彼ら⾃⾝が⼀番に楽しんでいるからこそのことであろう。
それぞれが強い個性と、全く異なるジャズスタイルを持つ彼らの⾳楽をきいていると、正解なんてないのだ、教えられるような気さえしてくる。
伝統的な、そしてモダンなジャズ同士の化学反応により会場にいるすべての人を巻き込んでいった音楽イベントWORLDWIDE SESSION 2016。これからもジャズ⾳楽は様々なカルチャーと混ざり合いながら進化を続けていくだろう。ジャズ⾳楽という果てしない旅は続くだろう。
最後に、松浦俊夫は言った。
「世の中は世の中としてある、でも僕らも僕らの⽣きる場所を作っていくべきだと思っている。⾃分に問いかけている。でもわかりません（会場：笑）
ただ、ただ⾃分の信じる道を⼤切に歩んで、⼤切にしてほしい。」
「何回でも来るよ。毎週あったら毎週きちゃうぐらいだね！」そう語るのは松浦俊夫の大ファンだという日本在住のフランス人３０代。
WORLDWIDE SESSION 2016、郗が早いが次回はもっとファンキーでかつ、パワフルなラインアップでくること間違いない。
来年のWORLDWIDE SESSIONが開催されるのかもわからないがもう待ち遠しく感じる。これはきっと今年のWORLDWIDE SESSIONに参加した観客全員思っていることだろう。

Latter half of the music event WORLDWIDE SESSION 2016 opened up with the legendary DJ Gilles Peterson.
Everyone will agree to the fact that there is no doubt about his choice of music.
As always, he brought variety of musical genres more than what we had expected, heating up the atmosphere.
He handed over the venue’s hot atmosphere created by up-tempo and high sense of music to the final band of the event, SOIL & “PIMP” SESSIONS.
Last but not least, the band SOIL & “PIMP” SESSIONS, which has a large number of fans from younger generations have performed. With the element of Hip-Hop, their style of Jazz was completely dissimilar to what we had heard previously.
Evolving as time flows. It feels like this word best describes the band; their music style was as if we were listning to the near future of club jazz/ new jazz.
Perfect for such special day, special guest Terumasa Hino came to be on stage, presenting a special collaboration with SOIL & “PIMP” SESSIONS. Speaking of Terumasa Hino, he is the invincible artist who has been supporting the Japanese musical scenes. From his experience as a leading musician, soulful sound spoke out from his trumpet, echoing through the crowd and the venue.
People we interview would unanimously say:
Jazz has something that makes us want to dance. This can only happen with their music being “wide” and “free”, but on top of it, because they enjoy playing music from bottom of their hearts.
With such contrasting jazz style, we feel as if there’s not such thing as correctness, and we ‘ought not to seek of correctness.Chemical reactions created by both the mixture of classical, and modern Jazz took over the entire crowd and the venue. We are sure that Jazz will certainly be continuing its journey of evolution by dissolving various cultures in their style.

WORLDWIDE SESSION 2016, next time when this event takes place, it will surely be even more funkier and powerful.
People who have visited this event will unquestionably be looking forward to the event WORLDWIDE SESSION 2017 even if we are not sure if it’s going to happen or not.
